Connection

Connect eBay once, then list without leaving your workflow.

01

Go to Settings, then click on Integrations. Click the connect button to open eBay, log in, and authorize Listing Engine.

02

Navigate back to Settings -> Integrations. Your account should show as connected. Click the cog button, add the dispatch address, choose a warehouse, and add your phone number.

This completes the connection process with the eBay API.

eBay Private/Personal Accounts

Initial step required

If you have a private or personal eBay account, you may need to set up your eBay Business Policies. This must be done on the desktop / PC version of eBay before you continue setting up and publishing listings through Listing Engine.

  1. 1Log in to your eBay account on desktop.
  2. 2Go to Account Settings.
  3. 3Under Selling, click Business Policies.
  4. 4Create one policy for each of the following: Payment policy, Shipping policy, and Returns policy.

These policies are required by eBay for third-party listing tools and integrations.

Preferences

Save your policy preferences once so every new draft starts closer to ready.

To set your default listing preferences, go to Settings -> Preferences.

From here, you can add your own listing disclaimer and save your default eBay configurations. These include:

Listing Type

Choose your default listing format, such as fixed price.

Shipping Policy

Select the shipping policy you want applied to your listings by default.

Payment Policy

Choose your default payment policy.

Returns Policy

Select the returns policy you normally use.

Condition

Set a default condition if you usually sell items in a similar condition, such as Excellent or New.

Allow Offers

Turn on Allow Offers if you want buyers to be able to send offers on your listings.

Once you have selected your preferences, press Save and these settings will be saved to your account.

Guide 01

Creating a listing

Start from Create Listing, enter your SKU, quantity, platform, photos, listing type, price, offers, and eBay policies. Add extra measurements or keywords, then press Save and Create.

If you use the same policies each time, press the save icons so your settings persist after the next page refresh.

Guide 01A

Bulk Create Listings

To use bulk listing generation, first go to Settings -> Preferences and make sure your eBay configurations are set for:

Listing Type
Payment Policy
Returns Policy
Shipping Policy

Once that's done, head over to the Bulk Create Listing page. From there:

  1. 01

Add your photos or upload a file of photos.

  2. 02

Organise them by date or name.

  3. 03

    Select Row Selection Mode.

  4. 04

Select the first and last image for the item.

  5. 05

Add the SKU, select eBay, add the price and quantity.

  6. 06

Press Save. These details will stay saved for the batch.

  7. 07

Leave SKU Seq switched on and we will automatically update the SKUs for you.

  8. 08

    Press Allocate.

  9. 09

Add the next set of images, adjust price and allocate.

  10. 10

Once everything is allocated, press Create Drafts.

The AI will then build the listings, and you'll be able to review them from the Listings page once complete.

Guide 02

Reviewing a listing

Open Unlisted Drafts, choose a listing, then review photos, title, description, category, condition, item specifics, and any mandatory eBay fields before publishing.

Fill in as many optional fields as possible to improve your item visibility in eBay search.

Guide 03

Withdrawing and deleting listings

Use Publish to eBay when the draft is ready. Published inventory can be withdrawn from eBay while staying in Listing Engine, or deleted after withdrawal when you want to remove it permanently.

Troubleshooting

Fix the two setup issues that usually block publishing.

Business policies

Business Policies are mandatory for third-party integrations, especially on private or personal eBay accounts. In eBay, go to Account Settings -> Business Policies on desktop and create Shipping, Payment, and Returns policies.

Reconnect eBay

  1. 1Disconnect in Settings -> Integrations.
  2. 2Log out of every eBay account in the browser.
  3. 3Clear browser cache, cookies, and site data.
  4. 4Connect again and fill the default inventory location.

iPhone HEIC photos

HEIC iPhone photos are supported, but may take longer to process. For the fastest upload experience, set your iPhone camera settings to Most Compatible so new photos save as JPEG.

Settings -> Camera -> Formats -> Most Compatible
